When the July sun heats up and it’s time to celebrate America, there’s no better place to catch the patriotic spirit than right here in Southwest Missouri. You’ll find fireworks displays galore in Springfield, Branson and other communities throughout the area. Local events are the perfect way to chow down on yummy summer treats and rock out to the sounds of live local bands. Here are some of our favorite nearby fireworks events where folks of all ages come together to celebrate our nation’s independence. #1: Freedom Week Fireworks Series at Hammons Field July 4-6 Hammons Field, Springfield Nothing says “America” quite like a day at the ballpark on the Fourth of July. Watch the Springfield Cardinals in action against the Frisco Rough Riders, followed by ‘80s classics at midfield from The Dirty Saints. Finish the night right with a spectacular fireworks show. The celebration continues all week with Pure American Country Fireworks on July 5 and American Love Song Fireworks on July 6. Dates for Firework Displays Summer 2025: June 13, June 20 July 1, July 2, July 3 July 18 Aug. 1, Aug. 15, Aug. 29, Aug. 30, Aug. 31 Sept. 11, Sept. 12, Sept. 13, 2025 #2: 27th Annual Have-a-Blast Patriotic Celebration June 27, 6 p.m. J.R. Martin Park, Republic Venture a few miles west of Springfield to Republic for one of the biggest fireworks displays in 417-land. Listen to country hits from Psychobilly Cadillac and classic rock from Members Only. The fun includes food vendors, inflatables, axe throwing and a petting zoo. #3: Fireworks over the Water and Duck Derby July 1, 4 p.m. Pomme de Terre Lake Celebrate America rubber ducky style at the annual Duck Derby and Fireworks at the spillway at Pomme de Terre Lake. This local favorite at the Overlook Picnic Area includes food trucks and live music from the County Liners. The evening concludes with fireworks at dusk. #4: Fireburst at Table Rock Lake July 2 at dusk Kimberling City The Kimberling City Bridge is the place to be for this annual spectacle where you can take in the fireworks by land or by boat. Plan ahead to have your car or boat in place by 8:30 p.m. to take part in this one-of-a-kind local tradition. #5: Branson Landing 16th Annual Liberty Light Up Concert & Fireworks July 3, 6:30 p.m. Branson The sights and sounds of Branson Landing take on a patriotic flair at this annual celebration. From a beer garden sponsored by Wil Fischer Budweiser to electrifying performances by Damsel and the Dirty Saints, there’s something for everyone to join the fun. The highlight of the night is an amazing choreographed fireworks show immediately after the concert. #6: Celebration of Freedom at Southwest Baptist July 4, 5:30 p.m.-dusk Southwest Baptist University campus, Bolivar Head up to Bolivar for a special evening to celebrate our freedom and thank our veterans. Food vendors begin serving at 5:30 p.m., followed by live music from the Shuffle Cats and a special performance by Tumbles Gymnastics. The evening includes a presentation of colors by local Boy Scouts and the American Legion and ends with fireworks at dusk. #7: Chateau on the Lake Independence Day Celebration July 6 at dark, around 9 p.m. Branson Light up the evening with a festive celebration at this iconic resort overlooking the scenic shores of Table Rock Lake. Savor delicious barbecue and kick back to the sounds of live music from local musicians. The fun culminates with a vibrant fireworks display at dusk. #8: Independence Day Fireworks at Big Cedar Lodge July 4, 4:30-9:30 p.m. Big Cedar Lodge, Branson Bring a blanket or lawn chair to Big Cedar Lodge for an afternoon and evening of patriotic fun. Festivities include an air show, live music and food from the Big Cedar culinary team. There’s games and inflatables for the kids, and the fireworks light up around 9:30 p.m. #9: Lady Liberty Dinner Cruise with Fireworks July 4, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Table Rock Lake, Branson Set sail aboard the Lady Liberty for this patriotic dining experience aboard Big Cedar’s custom-built yacht. You’ll be surrounded by unforgettable natural views as you enjoy a breathtaking fireworks show above the waters of Table Rock Lake. #10: Annual Hollister 4th of July Celebration July 4, 5 p.m. to dusk Hollister If an old-fashioned Fourth of July makes your spirit soar, the oldest fireworks display in Taney County is right up your alley. Enjoy a leisurely stroll amidst the shops and restaurants of downtown Hollister, before celebrating with fireworks after dusk around 9 p.m.
