If you’re someone who loves to be the first to the hottest trends, Galloway is the perfect place for you with affordable luxury apartments. Tucked away in the eastern corner of the city, this neighborhood has seen explosive growth in the past five years. Three luxury apartment complexes have been added to the area, two of which offer mixed-use developments with restaurants, breweries and other retail within an easily walkable distance of the apartments. For those who need a more permanent settlement, there’s no shortage of magnificent homes for sale in the community as well. Other nearby amenities include a spa, a pottery studio, a salon, a veterinarian’s office and plenty of shopping opportunities within a five-minute drive. Perhaps the most notable benefit of living in Galloway is the proximity to Sequiota Park, one of Springfield’s many stunning outdoor destinations. The trails at Sequiota are perfect for walking your dog, taking a leisurely Sunday hike or watching the leaves change as the seasons transition.

For the new family on the block

If you long for the kind of community where you’re on a first name basis with your neighbors, Rountree might be your match. Dozens of charming historic homes for sale dot this area, many in the traditional Craftsman styleand victorian architecture. Many families choose the neighborhood for its educational opportunities, including an International Baccalaureate school system through Springfield Public Schools and the Greenwood Laboratory School where 100% of graduates pursue higher education. Residents are within walking distance to several of Springfield’s favorite dining spots, including Cherry Picker Package x Fare, Tea Bar & Bites and Otts Pasta. Rountree is well-known for their yearly Halloween parade, a blowout event which brings in thousands of area families to the neighborhood. If you’re still not convinced, take it from the city itself: Rountree was also voted the best neighborhood in Springfield according to 417 Magazine.

For the historic home aficionado

Surround yourself with the history of Springfield in the scenic Midtown neighborhood. This area makes up Springfield’s largest nationally registered historic district due in part to its many 1800-1900s historic homes for sale that dot the area. Each year, the Midtown Neighborhood Association invites the community inside their spectacular Victorian architecture homes for a tour of their Christmas decor. True to its historic roots, Midtown also hosts an annual Fourth of July parade for the community to celebrate the country’s independence, culminating at Washington Park for a continued celebration. Midtown residents have the perk of having the entire government of Springfield and Greene County in their backyards along with Drury University and Central High School nearby.

For the lover of the finer things in life

For those to choose to call Southern Hills home, luxury is only moments away. This beautiful area is surrounded by three lakes that offer waterfront property (and geese!) along with options closer to the land. Mid-century modern styles dominate Southern Hills, providing some of the most unique architectural design in the city. Close access to the highway makes getting across town a breeze, and the quiet cul de sacs of the neighborhood give plenty of opportunity for rest and relaxation.

Get right into the heart of the city in Downtown Springfield. There’s no shortage of fun to be had in this constantly-changing urban center, with an 80s style arcade, axe throwing and some of the best nightlife the city has to offer.
