Springfield Botanical Gardens: Located at Nathanael Greene-Close Memorial Park, the botanical gardens features a wide assortment of flowers and native plants all maintained by Friends of the Garden. Other attractions at the park include the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden, the Roston Native Butterfly House, the Gray-Campbell Farmstead and the Play Trail Kids botanical-themed playground. Springfield Cardinals: Hammons Field is a great place to enjoy a day at the ballpark with Springfield’s AA affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.
